awesome videos, but they went by so fast half time i didnt see what you did lol, do you have a more detailed explanation of part 2 some were?

also, when you colored in the shirt, did you have it selected the whole time?

and last :D do you use a wacom?
:iconevilself:
Nope, sadly i dont have a more detailed version of these videos. They were just to give some ideas, not really tutorials. I hope i have time to make a real tutorial for the fire effects... some day...

And no, i dont use selection while i paint. In these videos i used layer masks. But i now use clipping masks.

And yes, a wacom graphire 4

It is very impressive! It could be more useful though if you could actually explain what were you doing or publish a normal speed video.

And what was that thing of you always painting things red before actually painting that part? I didn't get it... and some times you also passed a brush quickly over a section of the image and deleted it after that. Could you explain these part for me?

I know its fast.. this is not suposed to be a tutorial, its just to give some ideas on how to use different ps tools, thats why the "cuasi" on the title. I have real tutorials on my youtube account.

Regarding the redness... I paint red (or yellow or green or any other noticeable color) because that way i can see easily exactly what parts are going to be painted. Also, this way i can see if the color fills the lines correctly . The color never really reaches the line with the bucket tool, it always leaves a pixel of two without color and that look horrible in the end. If you paint the same (or similar) color as the background you would never see this. Once I am sure the fill is correctly applied to all the parts i need, i can turn it gray or any other color to use as base color.

And the quick passes.. i guess i was just checking if the layer was locked or something like that...
